The Dare Thread

Alright guys, I just wanted to post a game here that should be fun to play for everyone! It’s something I saw on another site, and it worked really well there, so I hope we’ll be able to have fun with it here as well.

What’s the game you ask? Basically, you reply to this thread, and the person that posts after you gets to give you an assignment for the character you posted with. They can tell you to do pretty much anything, from tripping in the middle of a busy crowd and making them look like a fool to more extreme things. So long as it doesn’t break any forum rules, anything goes, pretty much. Whatever the person below you tells you to do, you have to do as soon as possible in one of your threads. It doesn’t have to be right away, and you can pick which of your threads to do it in, but you have to do it at some point and you have to post a link to the thread in here as proof that you did it. (Links don't count as replies unless you want them to, so you can freely post the link without worrying about getting another challenge)

In case the story wasn’t clear, allow me to give you a hypothetical example:
After my post, Taiya replies with her Fang account and tells me that, in one of my threads, Serah has to slap her thread partner’s ass and tell them they look mighty fine that day. I then have to make her do that in one of her current threads. After I do it, I post the link as proof.

Say Kent replies after Taiya replied to me. Kent can then tell Fang to do whatever he comes up with in one of her posts. And so on, and so forth.

Now I know what you’re going to say. “What if someone tells me to do something that’s OOC?”, well, there’s several ways around that. Using my earlier example, I could have Serah slap Fang’s butt in a playful, friendly way. I could have her get heat stroke and be unaware of what she’s doing. You can choose the thread you want to do it in yourself, so you can probably find one where it’s possible to work that into your posts.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. Questions will not be counted as replies in this thread, so you can freely ask without the fear of having someone dare you to do something.

A quick note: If you reply to this thread, you should be willing to carry out whatever assignment is given to you. Don’t be a party pooper who doesn’t deliver. It could be really awkward and embarrassing things your character is told to do, so keep that in mind. If you’re asked to do something really ridiculous that you honestly don’t want to do, it’s okay to say that you won’t do it. But don’t be that guy (or gal) who posts in here but never actually participates.

You can give people more personalized and detailed challenges if they're open for it. Which means that rather than saying that Serah needs to slap someone's butt, you could very specifically say whose butt she has to slap. Or in which thread the butt-slapping has to take place. Make them as elaborate as you want.

Fang:
I dare Fang to streak, purposefully or accidentally, through Academy headquarters. [Completed!]

Carla:
I dare Carla to try her usual method of convincing someone to do something for her by using her brains, but she somehow has a terrible day and none of her arguments make any sense, they make sense in her head, but to an outsider, she sounds Cinque-like with her arguments. Since her brain failed her, she will now to find another way to get what she wants. She decides to somehow enlist Mr. Astley’s help, who knocks her out because she accidentally left a stain on his floor. She wakes up in his laundry bin. She now has the choice of either streaking through the school or wearing the clothes in the bin; Kayla’s clothes. An embarrassing line of text should be on her tiny, tiny barely existing top. And she needs to run into Naghi after all of that. [Pending]

Cater:
I dare Cater to ask someone's assistance in shaving her legs. It would eventually get really awkward somehow and end up badly. It doesn't matter who it is, but extra points if it's someone like Trey. [Pending]

Cosmos: Cosmos should teleport into a world advanced enough to have supermarkets and accidentally end up in the condom/sexual health section of the supermarket when she arrives. [Pending]

Squall: I dare Squall to confess his secret undying love and obsession for the adorable that is chocobo chicks to either Raine or Laguna. (He needs to really gush about them, and perhaps even have one he stole off of someone to pet and squeal over) The circumstances as to why this would come about are up to you, buuuuut it would be great if he had come in contact with some natural or man made hallucinogen and he was emotionally crazy. [Pending]

Minerva: Minerva, while wearing her armor for some specific purpose, needs to have to pass through some small passageway - a subway entrance, perhaps, or maybe a revolving door - and get her shoulder guards stuck in place so that she essentially cannot move. Not wanting to give away that she's a goddess perhaps (or for some other reason), she should have to ask a mortal, either a player character or an NPC, to get her loose. [Pending]

Longley: I dare Longley to go out and have dinner with a colleague of his choice, though bonus points if it’s his boss or some other stick in the mud that would make awkward situations even more awkward through their sheer lack of exciting emotions. Extra bonus points still if a third person joins in. Everything can go smoothly, until he realizes, right after he’s ordered his food, that he has terrible stomach cramps. Because he doesn’t like public bathrooms, he will probably try to avoid going to one and instead just try to pokerface while passing a gas potent enough to knock out at least two other restaurant visitors, including possibly one of his tablemates. Finally, he should excuse himself and go to the bathroom, only his panic should make him run into a place he really shouldn’t be. It can be a ladies’ bathroom, it can be a staff office or the kitchen or a closet, whichever you prefer. He needs to somehow lock himself in and try to escape through an air vent, but he gets stuck in there too because he just can’t catch a break. He needs to stay away from the table long enough that his colleague(s) get up to come find him, and he needs to accidentally kick someone in the face while they try to rescue him when they do eventually find him. Again, bonus points if it’s someone he really, really shouldn’t have kicked. Like his boss. Or his boss’s wife or someone. And finally, you get bonus points if he loses his pants somewhere in there.
