World A, Final Fantasy I
World A exists in almost completely blissful ignorance. With the so-called Heroes of Light having already traveled through time to defeat the evil god Chaos, and not a one of them aware of this event taking place, World A has no reason to believe anything about time or their world is amiss.
Final Fantasy II World
The world of Final Fantasy II is in much the same situation as World A, with the people to sparsely spread and the world too busy rebuilding after the destruction caused by Emperor Palamecia to pay much attention to the fact that anything in the world could truly be wrong, though a few individuals have investigated strange creatures and people in their areas.
Final Fantasy III World
The situation is almost exactly the same as that in World A, though the heroes are, as canon states, aware of what they did to save the world.
Earth, Final Fantasy IV
Takes place after the original game. The monarchs of the main nations on earth have had the strange appearances and disappearances brought to their attention and have made sure to warn the people about the goings-on. No one truly understands what could be causing the issues.
Planet R, Final Fantasy V
The Guardian Tree could be the result of many who were recently dead reviving again, but some on Planet R don't completely trust such an explanation, given the appearances of strange monsters that could be threatening the crystals. Most are unaware of the strange comings and goings of humans and creatures aside from those in authority.
World of Balance, Final Fantasy VI
With the spread of the Chaos, the world of Final Fantasy VI became essentially split in two - a world resembling the World of Balance that existed before Kefka's destruction remains in addition to the World of Ruin. The World of Balance has not been tainted by Chaos, and the people are highly aware of the World of Ruin's existence, as many friends and loved ones became stranded in the World of Ruin.
World of Ruin, Final Fantasy VI
As said, the World of Ruin exists and has been tainted by Chaos, while the World of Balance remains relatively peaceful. The people of the World of Ruin are well aware of their neighbors in the World of Balance, and strive constantly to reach their sister world.
Gaia, Final Fantasy VII
Takes place after Dirge of Cerberus. The Lifestream has, essentially, collapsed due to the death of Etro elsewhere, and all those within have returned, alive, to the world. Needless to say, most in the world are concerned by these happenings, though they don't fully understand them yet. The heroes have gone on total alert about the possible return of Sephiroth.
Final Fantasy VIII World
Many in the world of Final Fantasy VIII believe that the strange appearances and disappearances of monsters and humans alike are the result of another sorceress of time attempting to cause Time Compression yet again. A few have instead looked to the sorceresses still in the world as the potential sources, such as Edea and Rinoa.
Gaia, Final Fantasy IX
For the most part, the people of Gaia are unaware that anything could be wrong. A few have ranted about the reappearance of the world of Terra, but they've barely been heeded.
Terra, Final Fantasy IX
Terra has reappeared as its own planet, tainted by Chaos and sparsely populated by Terrans. Their world has managed to be one of the most isolated after Etro's death.
Spira, Final Fantasy X
Takes place after X-2, with the best ending. People having always lived with the presence of Sin are naturally curious about the goings-on in their world. Some believe that the presence of strange newcomers - and the revival of those thought to be lost to the Farplane - signals that something has gone wrong in their world, but outside of some Yevonite fanatics, no one has gone fully public with their worries.
Vana'diel, Final Fantasy XI
Takes place at the player's entry to the story. Though Vana'diel's people live on in blissful ignorance about the Chaos and their link to the other worlds, the Beastmen still terrorize their land during the Age of Adventurers. The people of the three nations call for heroes to fight against these Beastmen.
Ivalice, Final Fantasy XII and Tactics
Much like the people emerging from the Lifestream in Gaia of Final Fantasy VII, the revival of people long thought dead in Ivalice - as well as an unexplained merging of various people form various times - has made the people well aware that something is wrong with the world and with the passage of time.
Gran Pulse, Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, and LR
Though the events of Lightning Returns have happened, the goddesses rewarded the heroes. Instead of magic, Gran Pulse, and everything else being destroyed, their 'new world' was that of being transported back in time to three years after the fall of Cocoon. The timeline was reset, and while the heroes remember the events of Lightning Returns and know that everything should have been destroyed, they are once again back to the way things were. In this alternate timeline, the goddesses have allowed things to take place and them to live like they should have. Lightning didn't disappear (At least not in the reset timeline, she remembers herself being torn away) and things are seemingly 'normal'. The fal'Cie have returned to the surface of the planet, however, and are all well aware of the presence of Chaos in the world. They continue to strengthen Gran Pulse by infiltrating the cities while hiding themselves away.
Note: If you have any questions about this timeline, please ask an administrator for clarification.
Orience, Final Fantasy Type-0
No one in Orience aside from Arecia knows that Finis took place at the same time as Etro's death and reset time to the beginning of their world's war. Though Class Zero's close proximity to Arecia has led them to believe something strange has happened, as they can remember loved ones who have died and could not do so when the crystals had existed in the world, most in the world are simply too focused on the war to be concerned about the appearances and disappearances of foreigners caused by the Chaos.
Hydaelyn, Final Fantasy XIV
Takes place during the player's entry into the story. Hydaelyn is a land used to the comings and goings of heroes, and thus far the people have continued on untainted by Chaos and somewhat ignorant of the link of their world to the other worlds.
Final Fantasy XV World
Unfortunately for most of the people of the XV world, they cannot see what Noctis and Stella can - that the light in the sky that they believed to be the light of Etro has grown wider and brighter, a result of the gates of Etro spilling wide open and the Chaos entering their world to cause time to cease. More people are concerned about the global war that Niflheim has triggered, though many are aware that something is amiss, giving the comings and goings of strange foreigners and creatures seemingly from lands they have never visited.
