(OOC: Is this okay if I re-use this from another site so long as it's my own work?) The young, blond Turk looked at the helicopter that rested on the helipad before him. It was an impressive sight to behold. Certainly nothing like how things were back in his home in Bone Village. That’s why he had joined the Turks. It certainly was far more thrilling than sitting back at home in his parent’s living room with nothing to do but sit on his rear. Where being wealthy was nice, it wasn’t all that fun to always get what you wanted. There really was no real challenge to that kind of lifestyle. That’s what had lead to him seeking out the Turks. Bradley had a niche for the nunchaku and applied to the Turks. Once they had seen just how good he was, they had offered to take him in and train him to be a Turk. Bradley had been surprised, honestly. He didn’t think he had been that good considering there had been so many skilled applicants at the time that he felt were better than he was. So, it was to his greatest joy and excitement that he had become a Turk.
Now, here he was, left with the task to clean the helicopter from one of his superiors, someone he honestly looked up to. Bradley wanted to be able to do his job well and be reliable. Having joined the Turks, he got to see how the veteran Turks operated. Reno had been someone Bradley wanted to be in terms of work ethic. He always got the job done. Of course, he knew his mentor had his flaws but who didn’t?
”Okay…so he wants me to scrub the helicopter from top to bottom. That should be simple enough.”
As a younger Turk, Bradley knew there was much to learn. He wasn’t he youngest of the Turks here but he knew that he had much to do and learn before he could compare to the rest. Having been appointed a mediocre task such as this, Bradley never saw himself above this sort of work right now. He understood the importance of cleaning the helicopter and keeping it well tended to. After all, it’s what they used to travel a lot in to get around. Bradley would not turn his nose up at such a task given to him despite how tedious it would be.
”Okay, bucket of water…check. A cloth rag…check. Cleaning chemicals…” Bradley stated to himself, looking at the materials he had brought along. He didn’t really know for certain what to use to clean it but he figured these things might be the best to help. After all, some of them were well known to remove any stains. Bradley didn’t think the chopper had any but it would certainly help with whatever grime that collected on the surface of their aerial transportation.
”I think this should be enough to cover it.”
Certain that he was well prepared Bradley got to work. Nothing seemed to bother Bradley despite how long the task had taken him. He gave it the best scrubbing that he could give it. In fact, he was rather surprised that things seemed so dirty on the chopper. Not realizing what he was actually doing, Bradley kept at it. It wasn’t until several hours later that he finally figured out just what that dirty mess had actually been.
”Uh…oh…Reno’s going to kill me!” Bradley said to himself as he looked upon the helicopter. The dark green colored paint that had been on it hours before had been scrubbed completely off.
”Well, it’s only paint. I don’t think he’ll be upset for long anyway. I can always offer to paint it again.” Bradley was optimistic in that. No one could generally stay mad at him for long because of his warm demeanor. Although, he could certainly chat the ear off of someone if put up to it. That’s usually what got others annoyed with him. When he realized he was talking too much, Bradley tended to say he was sorry a bit too much. Oh well, at least the thought counted.
”I should um…probably tell him so he’s not so angry when he sees it.” There was a horrified scream behind him at that very moment. ”Er…never mind. Whoopsie!”
