“It is all an endless dream. Yet still... The fantasy must come to an end...”
It had been a while since Cosmos had last checked up on her warriors. Ever since that mess with the chaos started, she’d been too preoccupied with just ensuring it wouldn’t do more damage than it already did to worry about each individual person on her team, or former team, she supposed. The cycle Lightning had fought in had ended, and she was back on her own world once again, probably with no memory of what had even taken place in Dissidia. Cosmos preferred it that way, even though it wasn’t always easy to know you were so easily forgotten. If they didn’t remember, they wouldn’t have that burden of knowing the worlds were constantly in danger, and that they might one day be called upon once again to help maintain the balance between harmony and discord. For now though, she could allow them their peace… the next cycle had not yet begun, but it was drawing near, the goddess could feel it. Perhaps that’s why she decided to check in on her noble warriors now, to see if they were mentally up for the task or if she should consider replacing them. Certain hardships could be overcome during the cycles themselves, but there were also problems that simply needed time in order to heal, and it was important to understand which was which in order to determine her next line up.
Her mind focused on the pink haired woman from the last cycle, and although she couldn’t get a clear view of where said woman was headed, she could sense a sort of sorrow in her heart. It was right there, just below the surface, hardly visible unless you knew where to look. A frown settled on the goddesses features as she tried to determine where Lightning was exactly. The chaos around her, as well as the remnants of chaos lingering about the world Lightning was on now made it somewhat difficult to get a clear view though. It wasn’t usually her method to go out and see her warriors outside of the cycles, as she preferred not to interfere with their lives. But Lightning was a different case, Lightning had served the goddess Etro, she had seen and done things that most other mortals could not even begin to imagine. Cosmos had a feeling that Lightning could handle knowing of her existence outside of the cycles, and perhaps she already did. Cosmos had taken over Etro’s throne, after all. Whatever connection the pinkette must’ve had to the goddess, it didn’t seem unlikely that she still held some sort of connection to the dead goddesses relic of power even now.
Cosmos sighed when she couldn’t get a good look into Pulse, and wondered if her powers were simply failing her here, in this place she most certainly didn’t belong. She scrunched up her nose a little in contemplation, and slowly nodded her head to herself when she came to a conclusion. If she couldn’t find Lightning from over here, perhaps she could track her from Pulse itself. Chaos still swam through the air there as well, although its force was no longer as destructive as it had been, but Cosmos was sure she’d be able to find the one she was looking for if they were on the same planet. Closing her eyes, the goddess focused on Pulse, though no place in particular came to mind, as she didn’t know that world very well. After taking a deep breath, she could feel her body float, drifting through time and space itself until she felt her feet touch the floor once again. Opening her eyes, she couldn’t help but raise a single eyebrow at where she’d ended up. Hmm, how odd. Where was this? It appeared to be some sort of building… it didn’t matter in the end. Now that she was actually on Pulse, she could focus on finding Light-

What was that?

I can smile For the camera, I can feed you my heart ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ Lightning woke with a start. There was a cold sweat covering her skin, but after a few moments she caught her breath, not thinking back to the dream she woke up from. She stood, stepping into the bathroom, running a brush through her hair and picking up the toothbrush quickly afterwards. When she grabbed for the toothpaste she paused. 'Right, shopping.' She internally cringed at the thought.
Shopping seemed like such a mundane task now, after everything that had happened. Even before that she tended only to do it when absolutely necessary, and even then most of the time Serah did it. She finished getting ready as best she could, before going to grab her cell phone and opening up the notes section. She returned to the bathroom quickly after. Right, Toothpaste, shampoo..she paused, leaning over the shower and glancing at the bottles lined up on the far side... and conditioner. She glanced around the bathroom once more before slipping into the kitchen. Dish soap, milk, and eggs, and...orange juice. She was craving orange juice. Then the necessities, but nothing more than that. She was getting rather low as far as money went. She really needed to figure out an employment option soon.
Light knew that the moment she so much as mentioned being a bit broke, someone would be quick to help her out. However, she'd rather go out and kill a Behemoth and eat that before accepting that sort of help from any of them. 'Not going from savior to Serah's deadbeat sister.' she thought, internally scoffing at the notion of her being a savior of anything.
It was quick after that. she slipped on her clothes, still folded but not put away yet, she hadn't been feeling up to it the night prior. She padded out into the kitchen and slipped on her boots, and a jacket. She scooped her keys, and wallet from the table outside her door and slipped the items in the red hip bag. It had been an item she found far too convenient that she could not give up. She had quickly found a replacement for it when she got back. Not only that, but she could actually hear the amount of jokes at her expense that would be made if anyone actually caught her carrying a purse. She figured it was probably best for the sanity of all those around that she did not, because she might actually kill Snow for the comments she was sure he would make.
It was a short walk to the supermarket, and she snagged a cart, not quite feeling up to lugging everything around in a basket. She really needed to get a handle on these nightmares. Every time she so much as closed her eyes alternate version of what actually happened kept flashing through her eyes. Serah dying, Hope, Fang, Snow, any and all of them being dead when she woke up from stasis. 'Waking up' to find that this had all been some sort of terrible/wonderful dream her mind came up with while in stasis. She didn't tell any of the others, she didn't want to. She knew they would pass eventually and until they did there wasn't much they could do for her.
Right, toothpaste...toothpaste. She paused, an aisle short of her destination when she saw a very confused woman in green standing there. She wasn't generally one to help random strangers at the market, she didn't work her and she wasn't like Serah. She just wanted to go in and get out as fast as possible. Someone drew her to this woman, however. "Miss are you alright?" She asked, trying to get a look at whatever it was she was so confused about. ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ ✥ TAG: Cosmos WORDS: 625 NOTES:This is not going to go well is it? OUTFIT: Click meee
