LORINA, WHITE MAGE OF LIGHT Age: Nineteen. Gender: Female. Alias: Lori or Rina. Sexuality: Heterosexual. World: World A [FFI] Job: White Mage. Alignment: Good.
APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 5ft. 5in. WEIGHT: 125 lbs. EYE COLOR: Crimson. HAIR LENGTH, STYLE AND COLOR: Her hair is a medium blond in color that falls past her shoulders and ends at the middle of her back. Most of the time she wears her hair over her shoulders in two braids or the two sections tied off with a piece of ribbon. ACCESSORIES: Her hair is usually tied back with ribbons, and keeps a knapsack on her for when she travels away from the monastery. ATTIRE: In her world, her attire is not that uncommon to see, because it marks her as a White Mage. She wears white, dress like robes that have bell-like sleeves and an oversized hood. The edges of her sleeves and hem of her robe is edged in red triangles as another marker for being a White Mage. OTHER: Lorina has a few scars that she does not remember acquiring. The most prominent one is on her back.
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Lorina is quite the bubbly and cheerful young woman, and it always seems like she can never be brought down. Her optimism and belief in the good of light is absolute, which also comes from her many years of learning the arts of White Magic. She is a constant source of reassuring words and kindness that knows no end. Some find her to be rather naive and ignorant due to these traits, but she is not so naive as to blindly trust anyone that comes her way. She can sense the darkness in others quite easily, but Lorina knows that actions define a person over what may lie in their heart. She can be a little clingy toward her close friends, and will physically latch herself onto them just to show her affection. Personal space is something that she lacks an understanding for, and she has to be reminded to take a step back if she makes someone uncomfortable. Lorina just enjoys gravitating towards people without thinking about it.
Beneath the cheerful optimism is a young woman that hides all of her worries and doubts behind a sweet smile. Lorina does not really show her darker emotions to anyone, and would rather reassure someone else than have them do the same for her. She has to be strong, because a White Mage is a healer that always puts the needs of others before themselves. Perhaps this lesson was learned in the wrong manner, because Lorina will absolutely ignore her own needs and worries in favor of another. She is selfless in the truest regard, and would sacrifice her life and happiness for a friend in a heartbeat. Of course, Lorina is not always sunshine and smiles, and she knows when to be serious when the situation for it arises. She is stubborn and determined when she sets her mind to a cause, and no one can change it.
She can also wise beyond her years, and sometimes what she says can be quite profound and philosophical. There is also the rare case of her harsh temper, which takes quite a bit of provoking to actually set her off. Lorina is not above hitting someone with her staff in frustration, or throwing a mild tantrum if particularly upset with something. This is one of the few instances where her actual doubts and suppressed emotions come through. It can be a little humorous to watch the cute, sweet girl storm around in a huffing fashion.

History: It was prophesied a long time ago that four Light Warriors will come bearing the elemental crystals of their world, and would live to save their world from impending darkness. Lorina never would have guessed this would have meant her, but it seemed she was meant for more than being an apprentice to a skilled White Mage. Most of her youth had been spent in a monastery her parents had given her to when she showed signs of magic. Lorina was taught many of the arts of White Magic while she lived there, but she had a higher purpose than merely studying. She arrived with three other Warriors of Light to the Kingdom of Cornelia after hearing of the kidnapping of the King's daughter: Princess Sarah. The King pleaded for the four of them to rescue his beloved daughter from the rogue knight: Garland. It was an adventure that excited and enamored the young woman with fantasies of grandeur and heroic rescues of the distressed Princess. The four traveled to the Chaos Shrine where Garland had been holding Princess Sarah captive. They managed to defeat the powerful Knight without too much trouble, but the return of the Princess was only the start of their journey.
After the bridge had been rebuilt by the King of Cornelia, they all traveled east, but trouble was there as well. They learned of a wizard that had been troubling the lands for some time, and his name was Astos. He had stolen a crystal that a woman named Matoya needed for her sight, placing the prince of the Elves into a deep coma, along with the theft of the crown of a western king. Lorina and the others continued to travel to many new places, and the four of them freed the town of Pravoka from the danger of pirates. The ship left behind by the pirates was used by the four Light Warriors to travel across the seas. Lorina does not remember this part of her journey fondly, because she had the penchant for becoming seasick quite easily. They were not able to travel very far, because the only exit from the Aldean Sea was blocked by a large boulder. The dwarves that were trying to remove the boulder said they would be able to do so with the aid of Nitro Powder. Forced to turn back, they sought out the small western king to retrieve his crown, but it turned out the king is actually Astos. The four of them defeated him, and retrieved the crystal he had taken from the witch: Matoya.
Grateful for their help, she made them an herb which would awaken the elven prince from his slumber, because he held the key to the locked room within Castle Cornelia. The prince woke from his coma, and he granted the Warriors of Light the Mystic Key to aid their journey. Venturing back to Castle Cornelia, they opened the locked room to get the Nitro powder to aid the dwarves in destroying the boulder that blocked their path. When the exit had been cleared, they were able to sail off and explore the greater world. The next part of their journey was to seek the four Fiends in order to restore power to their crystals. Lich, Fiend of the Earth, was the first to be destroyed and to stop him from rotting the earth of their home. The next to be defeated was the Fiend of Fire, who had dwelt within the volcano: Mount Gulg. Their next venture was to the Cardia Islands, which they made it to by acquiring an airship. They met the great dragon king Bahamut, who charged them with the task of surviving the Citadel of Trials, and he asked them to bring him back proof of their endeavor. As a reward for surviving and proving their strength, Bahamut augmented their current powers into another level. Lorina's natural talent for magic was strengthened, and she became a White Wizard.
With only two more Fiends to defeat, the four set out to the underwater palace where the Fiend of Water dwelt. With the Kraken defeated, the four set out to find Tiamat, the Fiend of Wind, and defeated the fourth and final Fiend. Their crystals were restored to power, but it seemed that the Fiends had one more plan to enact before their demise. Chaos, and archdemon created by them, had been placed within the body of Garland, and he was sent two thousand years into the distant past. Lorina and the others learned that from the past, Chaos had sent the four Fiends into the future to cause destruction, which had created a time loop that would go on-and-on unless stopped. The Light Warriors followed Chaos into the past to defeat him for good, and to restore peace to their world. After Chaos was defeated, the four of them were returned to their proper time, but the memories of their adventures had been forgotten along with the citizens of their world. The darkness had been defeated for the future, but nothing is ever completely done, right?
