Today was the day. The day that would forever be marked as the day Selphie proved to the whole world just how awesome and firm she could be. The higher ups would surely give her a raise once they found out what the tiny Trabian brunette had accomplished, or err… was about to accomplish anyway. She was about to grab the mightiest of bulls by the horns and fling the beast into her pen to do her bidding. Oh yesss, she could do it. If anyone could, it was her. An almost pompous smile was on her face as she replied to some of her followers’ messages on her site, her eyes occasionally leaving the screen to check the doorway to see if Squall had arrived yet. It couldn’t be long now. Selphie had made sure to sound as dramatic as was humanly possible in her text to him, quite frankly, she was sure even Squall would come running in fearing for her life with how terrible and urgent she’d made it sound. What was wrong that she needed his help with? Well… nothing, really. Selphie was just fine, but there was a problem that still needed to be solved once and for all. Ever since she’d set up the Friend page on her site for her friends to leave her messages, she’d been trying to coax their leader into leaving her a message as well… but Squall proved to be a tough nut to crack. She’d downright told him twice to do it when he had the time, she’d texted him about it, she’d emailed him about it, she’d even considered enlisting Rinoa’s help to convince him to finally leave a message on her page, but he just simply hadn’t bothered. How rude!
Some of her friends had asked why she wanted his reply on her page so badly, and some had even implied that she had low self esteem and needed people to confirm their friendship to her. That was nonsense of course, she simply wanted Squall to recognize their friendship in an open display of affection! And… that was different than what they were saying, definitely. It wasn’t so much that she doubted whether he liked her as a person or not, it was more about… how she’d asked him to do such a small thing, and he hadn’t done it. How hard could it be to come on and say hello? She didn’t expect him to leave a wall of text but a small message shouldn’t be that hard to write. And… dammit! Selphie was curious about people’s thoughts, and she wanted bragging right on this for heaven’s sake! If she could be the first to convince Squall to leave her a message, she would forever be able to boast about that accomplishment, and it would make for such great advertising for her website too! ‘So amazing, even Squall couldn’t stay away’, nyes nyes. He would leave her a message today, even if she had to force him to write something at gunpoint.
To ensure he wouldn’t get away, Selphie had strategically placed herself in the back of the classroom, on the seat closest to the isle. He would walk up to her, and if things didn’t go as planned, she could block his path. Conveniently enough for her, a bunch of Trepies were standing near the front of the classroom as well, gushing over Quistis as they usually did. They were odd, but they could prove to be very usual in this situation. If need be, she could enlist their help in order to make sure Squall didn’t escape. Selphie was Quistis’s friend after all. She could easily coax the girl into letting her take a picture and sign it and then give it to the Trepies as payment for services provided. Yes she had thought this through, until the very last frightening detail. With her plan set, Selphie took this wait to update her site and check some of her mail. She giggled playfully when she opened a mail described as ‘Laguna sexy’ and then blushed and almost squealed with joy when she realized what one of her followers had sent her. It was the cover of one of those sappy romance novels, with a shirtless hunk dramatically holding a scantily clad maiden in his arms with a beautiful stallion running by in the background for some reason. Those pictures didn’t usually make her this happy, but her follower had pasted Sir Laguna’s face on the shirtless hottie’s body. “Oh my… Sir Laguna..." she squeaked and pressed her hands against her cheeks to try and stop the blush from spreading further. He was so handsome… and she didn’t just say that because of the body his face had been pasted onto, Sir Laguna was a dreamy, steamy man even without the photoshopped body.
Biting her lip, she briefly considered taking a quick picture of herself and pasting her own face onto the female model’s face… it would look like he was gazing lovingly at her and… oh my… was it warm in here? Sir Laguna’s sexiness completely distracted her for a moment, but it would have to wait, she needed to get Squall to do this for her first. So with a cheeky giggle, Selphie accessed the hidden part of her site that could only be accessed by herself and saved the picture there for later use. This wasn’t the only dreamy picture she had of him, there were far more scattered around in this section of the site. It wasn’t her fault though… people had realized she had a bit of a fangirl crush on him and they’d taken it upon themselves to send her these shopped images. And of course Selphie couldn’t delete them because that would be impolite! Yeah… She clicked the page away, but in all her daydreaming, she forgot to log out of her account and into the guest account Squall would no doubt be using. This could only end well for her. [/quote]

Tagged : Selphie | Words : 610 | Notes : Nufin' Squall didn't trust this text. He didn't trust it to the point that he kept on reading it over and over again as he rode the elevator down from the headmaster's office to react to it. Something had seemed off from the start about it, but he'd dragged himself away from his desk and back to the elevator anyway. She was saying that she was in some kind of trouble...but she was in Quistis' classroom...during one of Quistis' teaching hours. Whatever trouble she was in, it would seem that the dozen cadets and Quistis could help her handle. Squall almost sputtered, he sighed so roughly as he stuffed his phone back into his jacket and ran a hand through his hair. He probably shouldn't have been surprised that he had a feeling that something involving Selphie would get him into trouble. Selphie could have probably made a career getting her friends into trouble. But, whatever, Squall was going to see what she was so upset about, even if he regretted it. The elevator had almost reached the main floor now anyway - no use in going back up without just sticking his head into Quistis' room, just in case Selphie could be panicking for a reason.
The floor revealed itself, and Squall crossed his arms over his chest and half-regarded the people walking around the central hub of the Garden. Hopefully, no one else caught him on the way there or back. Squall was really trying to get past the issues that had made him so anti-social over the past few years, but he had too much work to just go around talking to anyone and everyone. If people wanted him to start getting overbearing and socially hyper like Zell, someone was going to have to volunteer to take all this work off of his shoulders or do all his paperwork for him. Until then, they were just going to have to accept that he was aware that he had pretty serious problems that he needed to deal with and call it a success. As long as no one turned him into their pet project, trying to drag some "bubbly" side out of him that didn't exist, Squall was fine.
The door slid open with a hiss, Squall emerging from his thoughts to exit the elevator and trot silently down the hallway. Fortunately, no one interrupted him as he hoped they wouldn't, most of them doing little more than greeting him to which he gave slight nods or an occasional, faint hey. He skimmed down the hallway until he saw Quistis' door, noticing it was open. With another heavy sigh and a glance behind him, he stepped to the edge of the door and poked his head in just enough for him to see who was in the room. A bunch of Quistis' odd fans were gathered around the front of the room, and they were really of no account. He didn't see Selphie among them...not that she claimed to be a "Trepie" or whatever they called themselves. Unimpressed, Squall looked deeper into the room, skimming over a few faces until he saw Selphie in the back of the room looking totally fine, working on her computer. If Squall knew anything about Selphie, though, it was that just because she looked okay didn't mean she was okay. Rolling his eyes as much at himself as anything, Squall stuffed his hands into his pockets and trotted into the room, pointedly avoiding getting caught up by anyone as he crossed by the desks towards Selphie. He dropped onto the desk once he arrived, studying her face. "What do you need?"

She’d been so good with keeping her eyes on the door earlier, and she’d already rehearsed her ‘distressed face’ for when Squall would enter the room, but the email had completely thrown her off-track. Staring at the picture with a happy smile and a soft blush, Selphie zoomed in on a few areas before giggling softly to herself and chastising herself for being bad. Was it bad if it felt this right though? Her eyes were glued to the screen for a while and she almost forgot about Squall entirely as she saved the picture in her secret folder and then went through the rest of her collection real quick just to see what gems she’d collected since starting the Laguna page some time ago. Her friends, and even some random people she only talked to through the site had sent her pictures of her idol, usually shirtless ones that had been manipulated to the point that only his face was still his own. It had suddenly happened one day when she confessed to finding Sir Laguna very attractive, she hadn’t asked anyone to send her stuff like this, but they did so anyway. Selphie wouldn’t complain about that though, no… she very much enjoyed getting these messages and she made sure to reply with a big THANK YOU to every who sent her stuff like this.
For a while she’d pondered making a separate section on the site where she uploaded all these picture, she’d call it Loirelicious and invite all of Laguna’s fans to talk about him on there, but in the end she’d decided against it. As much as she admired Sir Laguna, Selphie was realistic enough to know that she was fangirl crushing on the idea of him, and not so much on the man himself. Uploading these in a public place would just make her seem like an airhead who valued nothing besides handsome men, and that wasn’t the image she wanted to present to the world. Besides, what if Sir Laguna ever visited her page?! She didn’t want him to think of her as a lecherous pervert, just as a normal, perhaps somewhat overly dedicated fan. These suggestive pictures… well… she would just keep these to herself. That way she could indulge in that side of her fantasies without having anyone judging her for it. By now most people had to know of her crush though… oh well. So long as they didn’t know of her gallery of sexy, all was well in the world.
Blinking a few times to draw herself away from the screen, Selphie closed the folder for now and tuned back into a more normal state of mind. What was she doi… oh right! Waiting for Squall! She squeaked in shock when he suddenly poofed into existence next to her. With wide open eyes of shock, she gazed up at him. When had he gotten here? How long had he been here? Had he seen… the gallery? Pursing her lips for a moment and gazing thoughtfully at his expression, she had to assume that he hadn’t. He looked far too much like his usual broody self to have noticed something like that. Either that, or he just didn’t give a damn about her hobbies, which seemed just as likely. “Squall!” she called cheerfully after a few seconds of studying the man, with a little too much excitement, she stood up from her seat and slithered around him to casually block the path out of the classroom already. “I mean, Headmaster Squall!” she saluted him playfully before leaning against the desk as well. “How nice to see you!” nyes sweet talk him for a moment and he wouldn’t be able to resist her request. Selphie had the moves. “How are you dooooing?”

Regret hit Squall right between the eyes. Selphie was fine, and he'd wasted his time coming down here to see what was wrong. The moment she called out his name so excitedly, he knew that her text from a few minutes before had just been a fake. Expression dulling even beyond its usual dampness, Squall just glared at her as she stood and walked to, of all places, behind him down the row of desks. The headmaster rubbed his hand across his chin and sighed down at the floor. "You said-", he began, but he squinted his eyes shut as she continued on and decided not to say anything. If Selphie was taking this kind of tone, she wanted something from him. He should have inquired more to find out what in the world it was that had been "bothering" her - if he had, he might have still been in his office accomplishing something rather than dreading Selphie's next words. Focus still trained on the ground, Squall shook his head at Selphie's question, probably used just to...what was the phrase...butter him up.
It was having the opposite effect. "I was fine," he began, bluntly, almost huffing out his words. "And you sent me a text saying you were in trouble. You don't look like you're in any trouble to me." Selphie was smart - she had to be if she was this deceitful, after all - so she'd know where he was going with this whole line of reasoning. "I guess I shouldn't bother to put anything in the daily report about a student being bullied or bothered." Hopefully, she could figure out how much of a waste it was - and maybe how serious, too, though Squall wasn't extremely annoyed personally - to bring the headmaster down to check on her "problems" when she didn't have any problems. He wasn't too good or too important to come around and visit every once in a while if someone asked him too, but her asking him to come because of "danger" was just enough to grate on his nerves and convince him not to believe any text she sent him anymore. It wouldn't be great for him to be skeptical of a text when she was in real danger because she'd fed him falsities so often.
He relented slightly, though, peering back to look indifferently into her face. "What do you want, Selphie? You didn't bring me down here just to see how I'm doing." ...Actually, Selphie would do something just like that, he mentally noted, but looked to her for an answer regardless.
