PERSONALITY

DESCRIPTION: Kazusa can’t really be described as anything but a weirdo. From his oddly relaxed body language all the way down to knocking people out and experimenting on them for who knows what kind of invention he’s planning at the time, he generally does things a little differently from most. He has a secret lab behind a bookcase in the Peristylium’s library that he often lures students to before knocking them out and trying out wacky inventions on them. He seems to have no concept of personal space or privacy. Or shame, at that. He will openly comment on whether a person (male or female) is hot or not, and will go into glorious detail as to why his opinion is what it is when asked (and even sometimes when not asked).

Strange and sometimes annoying though his behavior might be, few people actually consider Kazusa a threat. For all the semi-kidnapping he does, he always releases his poor unsuspecting victims afterwards, and he doesn’t hurt them. Not much anyway. They are trained to be tough, they should be able to take a few hits with a bat, or whatever else he can find to knock them out with.
Though you wouldn’t think it, Kazusa is a highly intelligent man with a passion for science. He constantly aims to provide Rubrum with better weaponry, and will stay up for hours if he thinks he’s about to reach a breakthrough. He’s highly devoted to everything he does in life.

History: Kazusa was born 26 years ago in the Suzaku Fiefdom of Rubrum as an only child, or so he thinks. His parents died early on in his life, and he has little recollection of that time. Of course, it’s also possible that his early life was so dreadfully boring that he consciously decided to block it out. He was raised by a rather strange aunt who was dubbed the crazy cat lady of the town he grew up in, this is possibly where his bizarre behavior came from. When he was about eleven or so, he was sent to the Peristylium of Rubrum to train there as a student.
During his time there, he met his lifelong friends Kurasame and Emina, who seemed to be the only ones who genuinely accepted Kazusa for who he was. He had other acquaintances, but they were just that: acquaintances, not friends. Few people can stand being around this particular person for longer periods of time.

Ever since he was young, Kazusa had a fascination for weapons, not surprising, considering he was a young man. His interest wasn’t so much in using weapons as it was in creating them and perfecting them however, and he soon began to study the subject, upgrading his classmate’s weapons as a means of practicing for his future career.
Before his final year in school, he proved himself to be so knowledgeable about anything weapon related that he was offered a job at the research department for when he graduated. After school, with no more other homework to distract him from his passion, he focused all his efforts on his research, and quickly became known for his unique theories.
Though most of his research is about weapons, Kazusa will occasionally branch out and try other things. The crystals and their ability to erase people’s memories have always fascinated him as well, and being the determined young man that he is, he secretly works from a lab hidden behind a bookcase in the library for a way to ‘beat’ the crystals and regain the memories that they had erased.
