thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie sat up confused. This didn't seem like Gaia anymore. At least not part of it she had ever seen before. The ninja stood quickly, glancing around the area. She wasn't sure how she got here but she was sure as hell going to make whoever it was pay. She shoved her hands in her pockets, her materia was gone. She frowned, well not exactly hers, but it had been on her person last she remembered. This only proved to heighten her anger. While she was generally upbeat and cunning, though some might argue childish, an angry Yuffie was a scary Yuffie. She wandered a bit, only taking a few minutes to confirm that she definitely wasn't in Gaia any longer. The place seemed to foreign, it seemed much too bright and really hot. She was sticky, and she didn't like sticky. She didn't mind sweat, came with fighting and training and being generally awesome. This was different. It was tropical and she'd not been anywhere near tropical last she remembered. She wandered a while longer, spotting a glint of metal she could not ignore. First and foremost she was the Great Ninja Yuffie Kisaragi, a great theif. Shiny metal meant valuable or dangerous, occasionally both. Which attracted her curiosity instantly. She squealed in excitement when she recognized the bit if metal as her Conformer. She wondered, briefly, how it managed to land so far from where she woke up. She began walking, and walking, and walking. She was trying to find a settlement, or at the very least a fresh water source. Water usually led to people. That was basic survival. Not to mention it was important to her continued survival. However, all she managed to find was ocean. Water yes, but nothing she could drink. She wandered somewhat aimlessly for a quarter hour before an idea sparked in her head. She rummaged through her pockets until she found the thing she was looking for. Her phone. However, when she flipped it open it was quickly clear to her that the damned thing was dead. Of course, she hadn't had time to charge it before being knocked out and kidnapped. Or whatever happened to her. This had better not be some sort of prank. For hours she walked. As each minute went by it was seeming more and more hopeless. "This is great, just great. I'm going to die out in the middle of nowhere." she groaned. This was not part of her plan. She never planned on dying like this. She planned in dying when she was old and wrinkly and icky. Or die noble in battle alongside her friends. Not like this, not in the middle of nowhere where no one would find her body. She knew the feeling of not knowing where her friends were, if they were safe, and if she'd ever see them again. It was almost worse than hearing news of their deaths. She may seem like an airhead, but she didn't want them to go through that. Not because of her. Anger at her thoughts washes over her. "Stop thinking like that. You're The Great Ninja Yuffie! You can survive this." She told herself. She pressed on. She was going to get to see them again. All of her friends. If she didn't, if she died, she wasn't going to be remembered as a coward, as someone who gave up. Notes: Here she is for ya, Yuffie in her awesomeness. See, bright worked well for Nightmare. Bright and shiny was what he grew up with. Bright, shiny, sunny, oceany, tropical. Yes that was his home. So naturally, he was able to go without sweating up a storm in his getup, something that perhaps the ninja girl would envy, should she actually see him. Still, it must have been odd to find someone else all the way out in the middle of nowhere. Well, not entirely nowhere, there was a town nearby that he'd come from, but there was still the problem that he wasn't really in a civilized area. That was mainly because he'd really yet to find something else to do with his life. It was a pretty funny story; turned out when you dedicated your entire life to doing something, then someone came in, did it for you, and did it permanently, it really tended to suck the purpose out of your life, so now he needed something else. Well, as he stumbled upon this lady lady stumbling about herself, he figured it would give him a temporary something to do. And what was this about being a great ninja, and her name being Yuffie. That wasn't a usual name. Then again, he'd heard stranger names in Spira before, so what the hell did it matter to him. But at least he had a project to keep himself busy for the moment now! So, without really much care, he simply called out to her. "Great Ninja? Doesn't openly announcing yourself like that go against your whole Bushido code of honor?" Did she really think she was alone? Please, you were never alone when you were alone in a foreign world and trying to find the basic necessities of survival. He took a moment before shaking his head. "No, wait I'm thinking Samurai; the one that at least keeps themselves out of fashion danger by wearing their own unique style." He corrected himself, hiding the amusement bubbling within. That's right, he thought her dressing scheme was a disaster! Well, not because it looked bad, but because it had already been abandoned. He remembered that it was pretty hot amongst the Al Bhed a few years ago, but it fell out of style pretty quickly after. "Instead of sticking to Al Bhed fashion about three years out of date." It was also pretty clear that he really had no clue that she was from some place other than Spira. That said, maybe she was trying to go for that whole retro look. tags: yuffie wearing: herenotes: seriously only when I read your post did I realize how similar AC Yuffie and FFX Rikku looked. thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie startled, legitimately jumped. No one, no one could sneak up on her. Well, maybe Vincent, but she didn't even need to turn around to know that this definitely was not him. When she did turn around she thought she might die, wasn't he hot? Gawds that looked absolutely stifling, she'd be sweating gallons. When his words processed in her brain, she frowned in anger, one hand gripping Conformer tightly, though it was still folded up. While he wasn't acting threateningly or being at all aggressive this was some random male out in nowheresville after she woke up not remembering where she was. Not a good sign, even she was capable of discerning that. "There's nothing wrong with the way I dress! In fact I look hawt, as per usual." She exclaimed with a scowl. Well, actually plenty of people had a bone to pick with her attire, especially her father who was all about tradition and propriety while she was not. "Anyways I'm not trying to make a fashion statement, it's functional. I can move easily, and it's light." She argued. Well, that and she could slip kunai knives in her shoes, and it was just plain comfortable. She caught a word in his explanation that seemed odd. Albed? What the heck was an Albed. "I don't even know what you're talking about, Alby-whatevers?" she asked after a moment. Maybe she was in a region she'd not traveled to before. Though that seemed slim, she'd studied maps and she'd traveled enough that there wasn't much she hadn't seen. After a moment she looked him over, eyeing him curiously. "And what about yourself, your outfit doesn't seem at all practical. In fact a little stuffy, and heavy. You probably smell worse that a chocobo stable under there." She snipped back, feeling insulted. Not to mention she wasn't in the best of moods to begin with. She was also damned tired. Walking aimlessly tended to do that more than travel, mostly because there never seemed to be an end in sight. Yuffie tapped Conformer against her leg a few times. "Look enough about the clothes, is there anything vaguely resembling civilization around here? Or at least somewhere I could charge my phone?" She asked, pulling the dead device back out of her pocket with her free hand. She wasn't anywhere near trusting this guy, but maybe she could at least get some information out of him before she sprinted off. At this rate it couldn't hurt considering she had no damned idea where anything was and she needed to find something to drink, and possibly some shelter. If this place was anything like Gaia she knew the beasties like to play late at night, especially when their 'prey' was exhausted and dehydrated. She didn't want to become something's meal over her pride. Notes: Here she is for ya, Yuffie in her awesomeness. Tags:Nightlight Wearing: HereTEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ SHADOWPLAY

Well it didn't take too long to get her going did it? Already she was getting defensive and insulting him and telling him how he smelled worse than a chocobo stable. Now that was a bit low, at least he thought so. He personally found chocobos to be incredibly adorable. Really, how could someone like her not see a chocobo and totally want to give it a hug while it chirped in excitement. So cute. That said, Nightmare didn't entirely brush off everything she said, rather, his lips spread into a grin as he crossed his arms. He didn't really feel all that bothered by her gripping what he was guessing was her weapon, or something. Seriously what the hell was that. Snorting lightly, he fired back with a shrug of his shoulders. "Yes, I can tell you're hot, the shining skin and unbearable stench is a pretty clear indicator of that. And for your information, I am perfectly comfortable in this outfit because I'm not afraid of a little sun." Maybe it was just him being accustomed to Spira but he never really had any trouble with the heat. It still baffled him that a place like Gagazet could even exist considering what Spira was like. Not that he really wanted to go back there anytime soon. It was rather unnerving to know that if he died there, his only grave would be a half assed pile of rocks. Spinning his head around once, he rolled his eyes. "Aaaaanyway, there's a town not too far from here, and, assuming you're telling the truth, the Al Bhed are a group of machina savvy people that used to be considered heretics, but I'm sure they could help." He was pretty sure she was just trying to screw with him, but two could totally play at that game. He just had to hit her with a ruse of his own. "If you're to appeal to them, you need a name in Al Bhed, something to make you seem serious."He started thinking for a moment. In his travels he'd picked up some Al Bhed, so he'd figure out something that'd work for this girl in front of him. "For you I suggest..." He continued to pause for a couple moments before turning his gaze back to the young girl. "Csammo Vaad. It translates to 'Invisible Shadow.' Seems fitting for a ninja, right?" He said with a completely straight face. He was good at that, hell, he'd even teach her how to say it, because he was just that nice. "Say it with me; ku-seeahmmoh fuahah-de."There was still the matter of her phone. Seriously what the hell was a phone and why was she waving it around? It seemed to be pretty advanced; some kind of machine? Well, if it needed charging he had his own way of doing that. Completely uncaring of whether it would actually charge the device or end up frying it, Nightmare pulled his hand out of the cross, pointing a finger at the device as a bolt of lightning shot forth, aiming to hit it dead on. Whether it actually did or not, he really didn't care what she did. Instead, he simply started walking away from her, in the direction of the town. He didn't even stop or turn when he called out to her! "Are you coming or not?"So rude. tags: yuffie wearing: herenotes: shoot it with lightning, solves all problems. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name At this point, for all she knew the weirdo was cold blooded. Whatever, not important. "I'm not afraid of the sun! It's this climate, it's just plain unpleasant." She said, but the heated feeling across her shoulder told her she probably wasn't going to get out of this place without developing a sun burn. Damned skin tone. "And I don't stink! Yuffie Kisaragi, the Single White Rose of Wutai, naturally the only odor coming from me is pleasant." She snipped back. After all this time, most people knew who she was on Gaia, even if they considered Wutai nothing more than a tourist trap they at least knew it had a princess. If she wasn't in her own world anymore where could she be? How did she get here? A small sigh escaped her lips, and she though Vincent's demons were strange. Heretics? A whole race of people categorized as such seemed terribly off by her moral compass. Though, she couldn't say it was abnormal. Look what happened to her own people. "A name, so they have a separate language?" She said, more as an interested statement than a question. Languages interested her, that was at least one she enjoyed about her nations tradtions. Yuffie's eyes narrowed at the strange sounds coming from his lips. It was an odd language, apparently. It didn't sound like anything she'd heard before, but she'd been through the people giving her incorrect translations because they thought it was funny. She couldn't tell if he was being genuine, but considering his previous comments she didn't trust him for a second. For all she knew he was telling her to call herself a stinking idiot. A heavy sigh escaped her lips. "I think I'll take my chances without the weird name language. Even if what you're saying actually does mean invisible shadow, it's a lame name. Totally cliche, and just a little bit boring. I mean, if I were invisible how could I be a shadow? It's just bad form." She told him, rolling her eyes. Their language seemed harsh on the ears, she wondered briefly if it's speakers were similarly harsh. Guess she'd have to find out. Her gaze strayed to the horizon before a bright flash zapped down to the phone in her hands. She yelped looking over at him, then up at the sky. "Geeze, you could kill a girl like that! Watch where you're aiming that nonsense, I could have lost my fingers!" she yelped, dropping the smoking piece of metal and plastic to the ground. It did, however, blip to life, if a little angrily. She scooped it back up when she determined it had cooled enough to handle again. "I'm coming, jeeze, nearly zap my hands off and you act like the one who's being put out." She said, scoffing a little. "So the little electricity act. Do you have materia?" She asked curiously. Some magic would make her a little more comfortable with not knowing what beasties lived here. Or at the very least she could bring it home and have some materia. Notes: zapped phones and materia hunting Tags:Nightlight Wearing: HereTEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ SHADOWPLAY

Oh and she just started hurling his attempts to help her back at him, refusing to take his well crafted name for her! He thought it was fitting, therefore she should use it. Taking his left arm, Nightmare curled his fingers inward as he casually inspected his nails as the girl followed along. "You know, you could be a bit more thankful to the guy who fixed your thing." She hadn't complained about it not working, so he figured that he hadn't fried it or broken it or something, which probably meant that he went and fixed it. He'd have to get a good look at that later, it was quite the unique treat. That said, he would at least tell her the truth, he wouldn't deny her that over this issue. Besides, it was a good way to rain on her parade. "I mean really, as far as I know, what you've got is a one of a kind in Spira, I doubt anyone has a reasonable 'charger' or whatever it's called." Maybe the Al Bhed had something. They always seemed to have some sort of technological answer to anything that came back. He was pretty sure that if he ever lost an arm, he could probably just go to the Al Bhed and poof, they would have him equipped with some super awesome cyborg arm. Wheeling about, Nightmare just simply started walking backwards in the direction of the town, not seeming to miss about at her mention of materia. Seriously, this girl just got weirder the more that things went on. It just made him feel like he was well, actually, thinking on it he would just voice it. If he was correct then what could she possibly do to him? "No, small lady who I'm starting to think is tripping balls, I do not have this thing called materia." Namely, he thought that she was on drugs, or something else. But frankly she wasn't making a lick of sense to him right now, not that she ever really did. No, instead he raised his right hand and curled his fingers inward. In the palm of his hand, for the ninja princess to see, a small flame, followed by a spark, followed by a piece of ice by a small ball of water. "I've got the talents of this wild and crazy thing called a Black Mage." He was sure that she'd at least recognize that. Then again, maybe she was just trying to pull a fast one on him. He still wasn't entirely convinced. tags: yuffie wearing: herenotes: at least it's working! CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie was largely ignoring the blond male in front of her as she walked, only keeping track of where he was. Instead she was inspecting her phone, making sure nothing seemed out of order. The device was still warm to the touch, and smelling of burning plastic. "That has yet to be seen. It's charged, apparently, too early to tell if it will actually work, or if it might actually work..wherever it is we are." She said, vaguely. It took a few minutes for her distracted brain to process, but the words brought her to a halt. What did he mean one of a kind? "What? You mean this rock doesn't even have cell phones?" She asked, dumbfounded. Everyone had a phone. Even Vincent freakin Valentine had a cell phone, and he was like a bagillion years old. Even Cloud had a phone, not that he ever answered it. She was screwed, well and truly. If they didn't have phones, what else didn't they have? She really hoped they had running water at the very least. She could not do river baths for however long she was stuck here. She had to do that enough as it was for missions, and the like. A word caught ear. "Spira is that where we are? Is that like a nation, or a continent or is that what the planet is called?" She asked, curiously. Might as well gain as much information about her new, temporary, home as she could. She missed the others already, not that any of them have really answered her calls or texts lately anyways, but she missed the thought of being able to drop in on them. Loneliness gripped the edge of her mind, slowly consuming her thoughts. She'd been missing her friends for a while, but every time she rang, they seemed to be busy, or they didn't pick up. Or she had no right to call their phone, or other such excuses. She shook the dreary thoughts from her mind. Yuffie paused, confused. "So...you can use magic without Materia here?" She asked curiously. "That's what I'm gathering. Unless you just call it something different. It's...multi colored orbs. About so big." She said, making a circle with her thumb and forefinger to show it. "It's how we do...that" She said, pausing, mesmerized by the fire. "A Black Mage huh. Is that a type of people, or a title. Can it be learned?" She asked. Notes: curiosity killed the ninja...or maybe it's supposed to be cat. Tags:Nightlight Wearing: HereTEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ SHADOWPLAY

What were all these strange words that she was talking about? What the hell was a cell phone? "The hell is a cell phone?" He asked incredulously as he made a crazy motion with his fingers. Seriously, what in the world was this girl tripping on for her to be saying such ridiculously crazy things. Namely, what was she on, and where could he get some for himself, because this stuff sounded pretty amazing right now. Well, maybe not so much as to use it himself, but he was pretty sure that if he really tried to he could probably get a decent price on it. Oh yes, plans were forming in his head. Then she asked a question that, thinking on it, he really wasn't too sure what to say. He stopped for a moment, pausing, trying to figure out just what to say to possibly answer that. "Spira is..." Bevelle and Luca and such weren't treated as separate nations, but as far as he knew, there was nothing in this world other than Spira. Did that mean that it was a world? He wasn't really sure how to classify it. "Actually that's a good question I've never given it much thought." Ultimately he gave up, and gave a defeated shrug, signaling that he couldn't really think of anything. "World I guess." If she wasn't rusing him, she was definitely on soething strong though. "Man, whatever you're smoking is making you come up with some profound shit.""And do you mean ssssssspppphhhheres?" Nightmare dragged out that last word as he started walking again. That was the only thing he could think of that resembled what she was saying, but there was a problem. "They don't let us use magic, that's innate. But we can use them for other purposes." Mainly that, oh sure, he had heard of the things spheres could do, and if used right, they could make one stronger. But he'd never heard of spheres that granted magic power that could only be used in tandem with those specific spheres. Just what was she trying to get at, anyway? Well whatever. "Moving on, you can learn to be a Black Mage, yes." That was how he did it. He just studied and practiced and it just sort of worked out for him. "That said, it's not something you can just pick up and go with. I can do it because I learned how to by studying, and practicing, and because I'm just so innately talented." He grinned. Black Magic, he knew a bit of White Magic, and he could summon too! As far as he was considered, he was a pretty tough guy. tags: yuffie wearing: herenotes: and now he has the idea to start a cartel, way to go yuffie CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie sighed, looking from him to the phone and back. "This is a cell phone." She said, holding the phone up. "I figured given the conversation me holding a piece of technology and you being unsure what it is, and me complaining that you obviously don't have them." She said, rolling her eyes. Honestly, and people called her an air head. She could at least use basic logic. She pinched the bridge of her nose and kept moving. Water would be nice. In fact probably phenomenal. "I'm not smoking anything, I don't do that shit. I've seen what that kind of stuff does to people, and I have too many people I care about to do that to myself. Besides, I'm too talented to waste it." She said with a little frown. She'd seen people all over Gaia, addicted to different substances. A lot of them were even from Wutai. Her face turned sour as she recalled the first time she left her home and traveled to the poorer parts of Wutai. She shook her head of the thoughts. "They sound similar, but...I guess I'd have to see one to know if it was the same. On Gaia they're crystallized Mako...it comes from the life stream and...You probably have no idea what I am talking about, so there's no reason trying to explain it to you," she said, shaking her head. Though she was curious about this magic thing. Maybe he was something like the Ancients. It was said they had inherent magic. At least that's what she knew from the stories. Or maybe something like the life stream ran through the world and they had somehow found a way to tap into it without needing the materia. All this pondering had her head spinning. This really wasn't really her area of expertise. "Yea, studying learning training, all stuff I'm familiar with. I did have to learn martial arts." She said with a little eye roll. "I didn't expect to hold my hand out and say boom fire, and spout a flame because I willed it so, I was just curious. New world and all." She said with a shrug. "I wonder if it's something inherent to your race or your world." She added. Notes: considering she's not actually on anything it would be a pretty fail cartel. Right. Okay that was a moment of air-headedness. He wouldn't deny that and he did kind of feel stupid as she waved it around. Instead of actually admitting he goofed however, he simple started moving his fingers up in down in a "blah blah blah" motion as if saying she was talking too much. Yeah he wouldn't let her get the drop on him that easy. If she made a point, he would just do something to get rid of it. Still, he found the idea that she wasn't on drugs kind of funny. She seemed a bit sincere in her statement that she wouldn't do that stuff. Still that just made things more confusing. And kind of bummed him out. The idea of running a cartel was a pretty good way to make gil so long as you kept yourself above the competition. Still, at least she knew that it would take effort to actually learn how to do magic without these orbs of power that she seemed so fond of. That said, he'd rub it in that he could definitely do it for sure. Raising his hands above his head, he shouted "Boom fire!" And at once to flames appeared in the palms of his hands, doing exactly what Yuffie said she couldn't. After that, he spread his arms and lowered them to his sides, holding them out. The fires merged, forming some sort of fire rainbow above his head. Yeah, it was pretty clear that he was enjoying rubbing his talents into the ninja girl's face. It wouldn't be too much longer and they would eventually hit their destination. A small town. There'd be no place to charge her phone. Not like she needed it anyway, considering he just charged and fixed her phone for her. Seriously he was appalled at how ungrateful she was for that. Most people wouldn't fix her phone like that, he was certain of that. But still, there was still the issue of her talking about all this Gaia and materia and all that crap. He started wondering about what in the hell she could possibly be talking about. A theory started to form, but he wondered if it was actually true. He'd heard of cases lasting years but... "Look, I'll be nice for a moment; try and get to one of the former priests of a sect called Yevon." He advised. "You may be suffering from something we call Toxin." Maybe in the past she had run into Sin and it never completely wore off? Usually most people affected by the toxin came to in a few months or even sooner, but growing up in Bevelle, he had seen some cases of people being a bit addled. "About three years ago we had this monster called Sin that would seek out heavily populated areas and completely obliterate the place, killing everyone. Any survivors would have been addled with its toxin, which does really funny stuff to their head." Which also meant that she probably couldn't go around saying she was from this place called Gaia. Not that he believed that. This was of course, assuming she wasn't screwing with him. He was still suspicious of that. tags: yuffie wearing: herenotes: the irony is spirans actually are ancient cetra CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie scowled as his easy use of magic. She could tell that at this point he was just showing off because it wasn't something she could do. She had half a mind to send conformer at his face. However, he was at least being helpful for now, so beheading his didn't seem like the way to go. "Yea, yea I get the point. Magic without materia, you can do that here. I have a funny feeling that even if I could learn how to do it, the same rules would not apply back home." She said with a shrug. It was probably a trait of whatever race of people this world was made of. She was already feeling a little homesick. Well that wasn't true. She'd actually prefer to stay away from the place that was considered her home. However, she could already feel the hopelessness of being in a place where she knew no one growing."I don't think so buddy. Three years ago I was swiping materia from my friends, and fighting a guy named Sephiroth." She said with a shrug. It was surprisingly easy to wrap her head around world transportation, or even dimension hopping. She was curious about whether this was a different planet, or just a different dimension. She was never big on the science stuff, so she didn't think she'd really be able to tell the difference unless it was some sort of weird mirror dimension and she found an evil version of Cloud. That'd be weird.
Great now she was stuck pondering the mechanics of mirror dimension. Evil Aerith would be the strangest, she though. Oh! Or an evil Vincent possessed by a bunch of angels..or gods. Oh maybe even Leviathan. That would be the most interesting. Now she was sort of wondering what that would be like, and secretly wanting to meet him. Maybe that's why he could use magic. She shook the silly thoughts out of her head. She was pretty sure this was just some other place. Still, this place was weird.
Anyways, she was fairly comfortable with the idea of being on a different plane of existence. Weirder things have happened. They did find Vincent in a coffin after all. Now she would have to just figure out how she got here, so she could figure out how to get back. "Anyways, I don't really fancy a trip to some temple, or church, or visiting priests. Or whatever, especially not for something I don't need. Sucks about the Sin thing though. Definitely can relate to something like that." It sounded a lot like Geostigma cropping up. Well not exactly like that. Not only was the way of receiving the illness different but it was a disease of the body not the brain.

She could relate? Well, honestly, he got what she was trying to get at; her home, providing it existed, had its own share of problems too. That said, even though he knew exactly what her genuine meaning was from that, it didn't meant that he wouldn't screw with her a little. "You have a behemoth whale back home that would literally disintegrate people it blasted and had an unending army of monsters that were its scales? okay cool." He still should have been the one to kill it. Really, the whole "not dying" thing was pretty cool but still, he felt that he'd earned that whole High Summoner moniker. So having that prize taken from him was still pretty irritating considering his reasons for being shot down. Still, "Oh my God that is such a punchable name." He briefly interjected at the name of Sephiroth with a giggle. It just sounded so out there. "So assuming you aren't screwing with me, don't go around telling people of this otherworld shtick." Right, this place was still a little on edge after all the Yevon crap ended up coming to light. People were a bit less trusting. "It makes you look bonkers. Not that you appear to be all there to begin with." He just casually added on. Really, she didn't look like she wa all there, especially with how well she was sort of taking this whole thing. That said, he did have some advice. "If you slip, because for some reason I get a vibe from you that says you're a gossip who can't keep her mouth shut to save her life." Because she seemed like a gossip, he'd give her a ticket out of jail. "Say it's the toxin." Not that she'd end up in jail but "Or just give in cause it sounds like your 'home' is a real trash heap with literally no redeeming qualities." Yeah there was that too. It at least wouldn't be too much longer before they finally hit that small bit of civilization, then she could see Spira for herself. And reach it they did. The town, as he put it, wasn't much of a town compared to what could be found in Gaia. There were a few houses, some huts, and clearly no electricity. Oooh, deal breaker for that phone, right? But maybe they could find some water to help with that whole "not dying of thirst" problem that Yuffie might have been having. Still, Nightmare chalked the sparseness up to paranoia. Settlements were starting to grow over time, but the whole "sin kills populated areas" tended to put a damper on that. There were people that still didn't feel safe living in a hugely populated area even now. tags: yuffie wearing: herenotes: feel free to have fun in the village :3 CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie shook her head thoughtfully after the males explanation of the world he lived in. Any time she had ever thought of the possibility of other worlds, she always assumed they had to be better than Gaia with all of it's faults. It seemed more like each and every world just had different problems to deal with instead. Every planet had it's faults and she was sure some were worse than others. "No, not exactly. We have more problems with other people than with the beasts." She said, practically spitting the words from her mouth.
"A power company began cannibalizing the planet's life source, and profiting from it. Followed by some really nasty experiments on people to create a perfect super soldier so they might forcefully take over the planet. Ultimately creating the living incarnation of evil, and causing the life stream to become contaminated, causing a disease that killed a good portion of the population. Mostly children." She explained, something to fill the silence, but also explaining that while she didn't know exactly what life on his world was like she knew of evils.
"My trash heap has plenty of redeeming qualities. It's people, while a few are corrupt, many are good, kind people. People who would do anything to keep the world safe, give their own lives for the sake of the planet, There is a lot wrong with the planet but there's also a lot of good, and some pretty nifty technology. No cell phones, honestly." She said. She didn't think she'd hear from chocobohead....ever if it weren't for her phone. The only time she got to see their blond companion was when Tifa told her he was back in town for a while. Still, didn't help her get into contact with some of her more elusive friends. Vincent coming to mind. No right to call his phone. The notion still had her fuming. Absolutely pissed. The fact that he didn't even tell her to stop bothering him in person was simply infuriating, not to mention insulting as hell. No, of course he sent Cloud instead. Jerk.
"Whatya guys use? Like mail? Like a delivery service? How do you get into contact with people far away?" She asked, still stuck at the notion the did not possess the technology. It seemed silly, something that was ingrained in her lifestyle could simply not exist here. Of course, she shouldn't be too surprised. A decade or so ago on Gaia, cell phones weren't too nice. Now, of course, they were better but at what cost?
"Hey I'm not that mouthy! I know when to shut my mouth. Not that it means anything to you. I'm the head of espionage and intelligence gathering for the WRO. So people would freak about the whole world hopping thing. I find that odd. You freaks can do magic without a catalyst but yet can't wrap your head around space... or dimension travel. Still haven't decided which one it is yet." She explained with a thoughtful expression.

What did they use for delivery and communications? Well, normally, that is, the majority of Spira still stuck to chocobos. And Nightmare most definitely could not blame Spira for that. Really, who could? Chocobos were just so fluffy and cute and how could anyone not love chocobos? "Chocobos and boats, which are powered by chocobos." He had seen the engine room of a boat once, and sure enough, chocobo power. All of it, ran by chocobos. That said, he did reach into his pocket and pull out a sphere of sorts. "Some of us have comm-units," He waved it for a moment before stashing it away. "But they haven't caught on yet." Really, him and a few others, though the Al Bhed had little issue. "And I can top you." He declared, pointing a finger at the ninja. He paused for a moment however, as his lips curled into a smirk. "Haha... phrasing." He muttered to himself, shaking his head. "We've almost all been killed at least twice over. The first time we delayed for a thousand years by sacrificing orphans, the second, I'm not sure what happened there." Well, they weren't always orphans. But summoners were usually raised in the temples throughout their entire lives. Many of them came to the temples because they had lost their parents; usually to Sin, and that drove a lot of them. He did however, swerve subjects for a moment. "And by the way, telling me about your status as a secret agent, really isn't a good sign of adherence to confidentiality." And then immediately swerved back again. It was really odd how this guy could just jump from subject to subject completely out of order without missing a single beat. "Still, that power company might be onto something. There's this Al Bhed kid whose name has been going around. Brilliant little kid, name's Shinra, has been pushing a theory that we can use the energy or whatever in the planet as a power source."Seriously, from what he'd been hearing, that little guy was something else entirely, even by Al Bhed standards. If this whole, using the planet as a power source thing turned out to be true, then thy would hopefully be able to work something out at least. "Last I heard he'd been talking with Rin about it. Not sure what's going on there though. Rin's one of our richest by far so I'm guessing it's for an investment or something." He'd been keeping up with this quite a bit it seemed. Still, he ignored her bit about space and dimension travel; no point in going on with what the hell this chick was saying. tags: yuffie wearing: herenotes: wooooo ffx-2 ultimania info CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie shook her head. Chocobo power, and she thought their power source was corrupt. "Poor Chocobos." She mumbled, thinking of the poor things on a boat. Of course, she didn't particularly enjoy riding chocobos, or boats...or really anything that moved without it being her own two feet due to motion sickness, but that just seemed cruel. She could see riding chocobo, most of the creatures enjoyed it to be honest. However, putting the poor little guys to work for a boat could not be very humane. Not to mention she didn't think a bird like that would enjoy a boat too much. The ninja didn't like his next point either. She didn't think it was so much an argument about who's planet was worse. She didn't think two completely different tragedies should ever be compared with one another to decide which was the most awful Both were incredibly unfortunate and no one should ever have to go through such things. However it was life. She couldn't put an argument up. She wanted to bring up the Deepground fiasco, but the wounds from that were still fresh. She still couldn't quite handle the dark alone. She managed to such it up and push past it for WRO missions, but that was not as easily done with nothing to keep her mind busy. "It's the WRO, World Regenesis Organization. I wouldn't exactly call it a secret agency. Not only that, but most people know who I am hard to go undercover when you're an heir apparent. My intel is usually gathered without anyone even knowing I'm there. Everything else, well, there are ways to alter your appearance enough that even someone like me can go undercover." She said waving him off. His next words all but drained the color to her face. Shinra. A kid named Shinra. She really hoped she heard that wrong but as he continued, she realized that she heard him crystal clear. Maybe this was time travel then, but she couldn't imagine her world ever having looked like this. Maybe it did before the life was being sucked out of it but those machines. Her gut reaction would be to kill him if she saw him. Quickly and quietly and no one would ever know. Nothing would be the same. She would be a completely different person. Wutai would have remained a glorious nation steeped in beauty and tradition. There would be no reason for her to learn to defend herself, to go out materia hunting. She would probably end up the princess her father actually wanted her to be. Though, she could not fathom a world where she would be alright with that. She had always despised tradition, even before leaving her lands. Even if she would have ever met any of them, Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Cid, they never would have been as close as they are. Aerith would more than likely still be alive. Vincent would have already been an old man, if not dead. As much as she was angry at the jerk for not even bothering to check in every now and again, especially after deepground, and for previously telling her not to call him, and many of the other things she was angry with him for, she couldn't imagine life without him around. As few and far between as his visits were at least. Would he be happier? He might have settled down, and married the pretty, albeit mad, scientist in the crystal. His life might have been better. All of their lives might have been better. So many orphans, and deaths, and so much destruction that could be simply stamped out with the death of just one. It wasn't like she'd never killed anyone before. It sometimes got down to the dark stuff in the fight of good versus evil. The hard decisions had to me made in a pinch. She could make this one. "He should be hunted down and killed swiftly for his sins. Feeding off the planet's life source. Sounds a little too close to home." She scoffed shaking her head. "ShinRa Electric Power Company. Maybe it's the kid, or maybe one of his ancestors. Who could tell. It's not free energy. It's literally stealing the energy that the planet uses to live, to defend itself. It starts as a power company, and becomes an empire, and then a dictatorship and a tyrant. They move on to human experiments trying to create a super soldier so no one can harm their precious power. In the end, they create so many monsters." She said, her voice sad. As well as cause a very noble man or two to believe they are nothing more than monsters. Notes: Awwkwaaard. Luckily there's only a small chance she'll find him.Tags:NightlightWearing: HereTEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ SHADOWPLAY
