PERSONALITY

DESCRIPTION: Eight is one of the simplest people among Class Zero to get along with, mainly because he is a very easy-going individual and lacks any kind of quirk that puts him off to others...unless people have trouble with his girl-watching. Well, we'll get to that in a second. He's a cheery person who dislikes killing and possesses a great discipline in his own training, though in other aspects of his life he's not quite as focused. He has a wandering eye for girls...and that should tell you the whole story. Hence the girl-watching. Eight has a definite mischievous nature, but he's a good enough guy that it doesn't really annoy anyone...too much, and he tries to generally get along with everyone when he has the luxury to do so. He's good to his bros and his hoes lady-friends both.

He's not exactly reckless, but he rushes into a fight fearlessly and doesn't worry too much about the consequences. Brave may sum him up just barely well enough. It's a testament to his fearlessness that he uses just his fists and feet in battle to avoid killing. As with any member of Class Zero, he has a selfless nature deep down that brought him to the Class in the first place. Easy-going as he may be, he does have a lot of energy and doesn't like to just sit around idly all day, which is why he seems to be all-everywhere around the school sometimes. But he can take a rest when he needs to, take it back, find a nice balcony and a pair of binoculars, and have a good time.

FRIENDS: Everyone in Class Zero are like brothers and sisters to him. He particularly spends time with Jack (his roommate and prankster friend) and Cater (they're "compatible"). 
LOVE INTEREST: He has big plans for him and Cater. 

History: Eight is a young man who is a member of Class Zero, a group of students from the Peristylium Suzaku, the Magic Academy of the nation of Rubrum, that fight the invasion of Rubrum by the Milites Empire. As part of the resistance operation "Operation Apostle", he and his comrades seek to become the Agito, a messiah prophesied in ancient mythology to appear at the time of Finis, an apocalyptic calamity.

After Alexander's summoning and the resulting deaths of Caetuna, Kurasame, and other students, Eight, Ace, Queen, and Rem visit their instructor's grave. Ace says that dwelling in sadness will not do them any good, and Eight replies that even so, they will not forget that the people who died were here and lived in this era.

During the alternate ending caused by Arecia removing the crystals from Oriense's history, Eight survives and is seen living a peaceful life with the rest of the members of Class Zero. He is seen pacing under a ledge, happily talking to himself about the fact that his and Cater's names are similar (with the Japanese pronunciation) and saying that they were made to be a pair.

Suddenly, a tardy Cater appears above him and decides to jump down from the ledge as a means of a shortcut to get to her next class. She loses her balance in surprise upon noticing him and despite Eight saying that he will catch her, Cater falls on top of him, rendering both unconscious.

WEAPONS, ABILITIES & MAGIC

WEAPON(S): +Knuckles: Eight wields no genuine weapon, as his fists and feet are his weapons, he does wear different sets of fingerless gloves that keep him from breaking his own hands (on people's faces). Some of them are reinforced with metal, but the basic ones are just padded as kickboxing gloves would be.

ABILITIES: 

+Martial Arts: Eight's specialty is martial arts, and he is a highly athletic fighter, relying on quickness and the efficiency of his strikes more than brute force, as having no weapon makes it necessary for him to mainly avoid attacks rather than block them. Basically, Eight is a terror up close. Inside the realm of his martial arts, Eight relies on several different, different forms of combat to fight, and switches between them when necessary. These are Storm Style (relying on rapid punches as well as sweeping kicks), Raging Fire Style (allowing him to combine fire magic with capoeira-style kicks), Thunderclap Style (predominately kicks and knockbacks), Explosive Fist (only heavy punches), Lightspeed Fist (in which he channels speed just short of teleportation), and Last Stand (used in dire situations, casting Aura and Haste on himself). He also knows several specialized techniques that allow him to evade like a baws and sacrifice life force for a killing blow, but these are rarely used.

STRENGTHS: Despite his long bouts of immaturity when it comes to the female kind and other subject, Eight is a genuinely mature warrior with focus and discipline that few can match. He kind of has to be, given that he fights without weapons and tries to avoid killing, unlike certain classmates who will remain namelessice. He's not the best military mind in the group, but he has a decent grasp of battle.
WEAKNESSES: Having no weapons in a fight can be a big problem by default. Plus, he tends to...not completely pay attention to everything that goes on in class, preferring time in the training room, so again, his military sense pales in comparison to a King or even Deuce. He also goes a little overboard with getting in close against opponents.

MAGIC: N/A; only incorporates magic into fighting styles
SUMMONS: He can summon like all Class Zero members, but the requirements of summoning in Rubrum are borderline extreme - Caetuna requires the life force of a unit of Rubrum soldiers to manage the highest level of summoning.
